Knauf calcium sulfate panels for raised floors are ideal indoors, for solving floor systems in rooms with large crowds of people, meeting rooms, cinema halls, multi-storey buildings. The high resistance of the material allows the use of thinner panels than those made of other materials, but which have the same bearing capacity. All accessories used for raised floors, such as electrical sockets, can be easily integrated into Knauf panels. Fire resistant, suitable for any decorative coverings (carpet, parquet, stone, PVC or HPL) and does not require additional edging. The KNAUF raised floor system offers a special quality of the finishing surface, high sound insulation and they are free of harmful volatile emissions.
RG2 is a raised floor system developed in accordance with the requirements of the European standard BS EN 12825. The panels are designed for total modular control. Each panel consists of a chipboard core, wrapped and laminated with a galvanised steel plate. The panel is then mechanically stitched for extreme strength in terms of both point and distributed load. In addition, the system is sealed thus avoiding damage in contact with water. The RG2 floating floor ensures full electrical continuity and static dispersion where it is necessary. Also, this type of panel construction allows the subsequent construction of modular walls as well as reuse in case of a reconfiguration of office spaces. The Europed pedestals that make up the support system are made of galvanised steel, ensuring electrical continuity, pre-assembled to help minimising installation time. The pedestals have a locking nut to ensure that once adjusted and locked there is no movement in the pedestal head but this system allows for subsequent adjustment unlike other solutions where the locking becomes permanent.Kingspan RG2 floating floor systems have a 25 year warranty years and this is due to the way in which the panel is built but also to the leg system used.
